Misc.

I have also been editing my character in maya doing UV Textures. Prior from that i have sketched a rough idea on how my Pillar will look in my level & what the surrounding areas will look like.

Uv in maya

Today i have learnt advanced UV, How to merge components, how to display texture border edges and make them wider so they are more visible. I have also learnt how to add checkered textures and UV an item using the texture border edges and Sew tool. Once done this i would then unfold my item i have selected on the UV panel and add the texture to it. i have also started to create a boot for my character which will hopefully be finished soon.

Advancing in Maya Part 2

W have just started to install the high polygon toolset within Maya, and then i went on to loading into maya to be ready to use.
 i then learned by pressing space, Maya gives access to different shortcuts, giving me more tools to use.
after doing this i went into the settings so when i wanted to save my work it would be able to open OS native instead of default maya projects.
 i have now learned how to use the Ep curve tool and also the extrude too to help advance my skills.
i then went on to combining multiple objects together making it one object by using the tool combine after using drag marquee or individual selection.

after doing this i then went on to learning how to centre pivot by pressing f on the keyboard. which then moved my model back to the centre.

We are now looking at using the Fill hole tool which would help fill any gaps within the model by adding faces into the missing space.

I have learned how to add edge lines and manually move them without affecting my geomatory and also adding multiple
edge lines, I have also learned how to target weld objects together and snap them into place and then weld the vertex
together using vertex weld tool.
We have learnt how to merge multiple Vertex down to one vertex, And how we can collapse edges.
We are now moving on to chopping our geomatory, we then learnt how to soften edges and harden edges and how each change will affect
the outcome of what your model will look like at the final process

Advancing in Maya Part 1

today i am going to blog about what i have learned in Maya 

I have found the help menu which will link me to a website. In the Website i am able to find tutorials on how to learn more skills.

We can now learn that adding diversions on an object, within different axis and height. If I would like to change how these setting work I can do it in the channel box if required.

The Tools on the left of maya can be represented with the QWERTY keys.

I am also able to use the shortcut F which will frame the object, which then make an object clear to work on  it 

My models/objects will be made out of Points, Vertices, Edges and Faces.

By holding Right Click on mouse i am able to select what mode i want, Faces Edge or Vertices ,Etc.

If selected you are able then to use left click to select what is is needed or use SHIFT to do multiple Selection.
